Projects

The Improvements to the Suffolk County Board of Elections project includes the  construction of a building extension to facilitate new federal early voting mandates.  The extension will include a 3,600 square foot enclosed, conditioned auditorium, with  an insulated standing seam metal roof. A 100-space asphalt paved parking lot will be  constructed adjacent to the new extension to facilitate movement of early voters to  and from the polling place. The lot will feature regular and accessible parking and be  illuminated with high efficiency exterior lighting fixtures.  

The design was completed in early 2024 and construction started March 2024.  Construction will continue until October of 2024 and the entire project will be  completed and the addition fully operational in advance of the November 2024  election cycle.
